Have a Question?
FAQ
1 / Once I use up all my benefits for one type of service, can I continue my treatment plan and use my benefits for the other service?
No. Physiotherapy and Psychotherapy are two different practices and are governed by two separate colleges. You can have an active treatment plan for both simultaneously but your benefits for physiotherapy only cover physiotherapy and likewise, your benefits for psychotherapy only cover psychotherapy.
2 / If I need physiotherapy and psychotherapy do I need to see you for both or can I see another professional as well?
You do not need to see me for both. I am happy to work with any other health professionals you choose to have on your team. If you require a list of available physiotherapists and/or psychotherapists, I am happy to assist you with this as well.
3 / Can I book physiotherapy and psychotherapy in the same visit?
No. If you are seeing me for both types of therapy, we will develop a separate treatment plan for each one based on your needs and the scope of practice allowed by that profession. Your appointments will be booked separately so that it is clear what we are working on at all times.
4 / What if I am not sure what type of session to book?
You can start with a free 15 minute video or telephone consultation and we can discuss your concerns and determine what will best meet your needs. You can book this 15 minute session online by clicking the "book now" button above.
5 / Can I book shorter sessions than 1 hour?
Hourly sessions allow the time necessary to address the full context of the problem regardless if the presenting complaint is a physical one or an emotional one. Shorter sessions to address less complex issues can be referred to another professional which we can assist you in finding.
