Healing Mind and Body
A Mind and Body Approach to Chronic Pain

Body & Wisdom was created with a vision to heal the mind and body together using a holistic approach to your health and well-being while striving to provide you with the best possible care.
My mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment where you can work towards improving your overall mental health and physical well-being. I believe that achieving balance and awareness of the interaction between your mind and body is essential for positive therapy outcomes.
"The mind and body are not separate. What affects one, affects the other."

Psychotherapy
Often times, when we experience physical symptoms, it's a manifestation of emotional distress. Using a mind and body perspective helps clients uncover and address not only the mechanical and medical factors but the equally and sometimes dominant emotional roots of their physical pain,
Brainspotting
Brainspotting is a focused, gentle therapeutic approach that helps the brain process and release emotional or physical stress stored from past experiences. By guiding your gaze to specific “brainspots,” your therapist helps your nervous system access deeper layers of healing that talk therapy alone can’t always reach. Many people find Brainspotting helpful for trauma, anxiety, chronic pain, and feeling “stuck,” because it works directly with the body’s natural ability to heal and regulate itself.
EMDR
EMDR is a structured psychotherapy approach that helps clients work through difficult memories and the beliefs, emotions, and body sensations connected to them. By using bilateral stimulation—such as eye movements or tapping—EMDR supports the brain in reprocessing past experiences so they feel less overwhelming. Many people find EMDR effective for trauma, anxiety, and persistent stress, as it allows for meaningful emotional shifts and a greater sense of calm and control.
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy helps you move better, feel better, and understand what’s going on in your body—especially when you’re dealing with chronic pain. By using hands-on techniques like massage, myofascial release, joint mobilization, nerve glides, targeted exercise, education, and sometimes acupuncture, your physiotherapist works with you to calm irritated tissues, improve mobility, and gently retrain the nervous system. The goal is to give you practical tools, confidence, and steady progress so you can get back to the activities that matter most.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture can be a helpful addition to treatment for things like chronic pain, muscle tension, and nervous system imbalance. Using sterile, disposable needles placed at specific points, it works to calm irritated tissues, improve circulation, and support the body’s natural healing response. Within physiotherapy, acupuncture is used gently and purposefully to reduce pain, release tight muscles, and help your system find a more balanced, relaxed state.
